7 Allego Alternatives for Sales Practice and AI Roleplay
On this page
TL;DR
- Allego is a revenue enablement suite. Its AI practice product is now called AI Role Play & Coaching, and its pricing page (checked October 2026) lists AI Role Play as one of four plans priced per user per month, billed annually up front, with a typical 3 year contract.
- If your main job is sales practice and roleplay, and you do not plan to replace an LMS or content system, the shortlist is different from a full enablement swap.
- Quotain is best for practice built from a specific account and call. Hyperbound is best for buying-committee and demo practice with real-call scoring. Second Nature is best for video avatar practice with courses and certification, the closest match to Allego's avatar roleplay.
- PitchMonster fits several practice modes on 12 month seat contracts, and Outdoo fits multi-format practice next to an LMS you keep. Mindtickle and Highspot make sense only if you want roleplay inside a broader enablement suite.
- Test the same real scenario, reps and scorecard in each finalist for two weeks, and check your Allego renewal date before you start.

How we compared
Quotain publishes this guide and sells one of the tools on the list, so we name where other tools fit better, including Allego. On October 26, 2026 we read Allego's AI Role Play & Coaching page and pricing page, plus each alternative's pricing and roleplay pages. Every vendor fact below links to the page it came from. We did not use review-site scores or third-party price estimates.
We scoped the list to one buying job: a team that wants better sales practice and roleplay, and is not replacing its learning or content system. If you need a full enablement replacement, read sales readiness vs sales enablement first, because the shortlist changes.
What Allego offers today
From Allego's own pages, checked October 2026:
- Naming: the practice product appears as "AI Role Play & Coaching" in the navigation, with the page heading "Allego AI Role Play and Coaching." The pricing plan is called "AI Role Play." Allego earlier used the label "AI sales simulations."
- Practice: "Run unscripted simulations" that adapt to what the rep says. The pricing page describes practice "against lifelike AI video avatars."
- Languages: "32 languages, 71 voices and accents, and scoring in 59 languages."
- Scoring and coaching: shared rubrics, AI-driven scorecards, manager scoring and side-by-side review.
- Certification and readiness: custom badges and certifications, skill signals and readiness dashboards.
- New in Allego 9: pre-built AI Role Play scenarios for common sales situations.
- Pricing terms: "We price per user per month, billed annually upfront." The typical contract is 3 years paid annually, with 2 year and 1 year options. Allego says it does not charge extra for AI capabilities or support and has no usage-based costs. Every plan includes a dedicated customer success manager, SSO and CRM integrations.
Allego also sells Modern Learning + Conversation Intelligence, Content Management, and Digital Rooms + Deal Navigator as separate plans. The pricing page gives each plan its own "Get Pricing" button but does not say whether AI Role Play can be bought on its own. Ask.
When an Allego alternative makes sense
Three situations come up most:
- You bought Allego for content or learning, and practice is the weak spot for your team. You can keep Allego for that work and add a practice tool, or move practice out at renewal.
- You are buying practice for the first time and Allego is on the list because of its name in enablement. A practice-only tool may need less setup and a shorter contract.
- You need a feature Allego's pages do not describe, such as practice built from one specific deal, buying-committee calls with several AI buyers, or screen-share demo practice.
If none of these applies, and you want learning, content, coaching and roleplay in one contract, Allego is a reasonable choice. The Quotain vs Allego comparison covers that case.
1. Quotain
Best for practice built from a specific account and call.
Quotain does one job: realistic practice and grading. It builds the AI buyer from your playbook, accounts and real calls. Its simulations page says Quotain "reads the account and the last call, then gives the buyer the same budget pressure and doubts." A rep can run the whole call or drill one question, then retry that moment. Each scenario has its own goals, objections, difficulty and scorecard.
From Quotain's live pages:
- The pricing page lists buyers in 32 languages and four difficulty levels on the Team plan, with your own scorecards, drills and certification, and your CRM, call recorder and docs connected.
- Buying-committee calls with several buyers, grading of recorded customer calls and the meeting recorder are available on request.
- Reps can share their screen during practice for demo calls.
- Real-call grading marks each requirement Met, Not met or N/A with the transcript moments behind it, and a rep can continue a recorded call from any line against an AI buyer.
- Module certificates are issued automatically when a rep passes every task.
Tradeoffs against Allego: Quotain has no learning content, content management or digital sales rooms. Practice uses still buyer portraits, not video avatars. Quotain does not have a SOC 2 report or SSO yet; its Trust Center lists SOC 2 Type II as in progress. Allego includes SSO on every plan.
Pricing: a free trial with up to 3 practice calls, no credit card. Team plans are quoted for your seats and scope, and a pilot can be scoped around one team and one sales motion.
2. Hyperbound
Best for buying committees and screen-share demo practice, with real-call scoring.
Hyperbound's Practice page says teams can "Simulate real buying committees with multiple stakeholders" and practice demos with AI that understands what is on screen. It states 30+ languages and lists scorecard frameworks including MEDDPICC, SPIN, Sandler and Challenger.
Its pricing page lists a Free plan with 45 prebuilt roleplays, a Practice license and a Perform license. Perform adds real call scoring, deal coaching and conversation intelligence. Paid plans are priced per user and quoted, with volume and multi-year discounts.
Compared with Allego: Hyperbound covers practice and real-call review, with no course or content library. If you keep Allego for learning, check how Hyperbound results reach your reporting.
We cover Hyperbound in more depth in Hyperbound alternatives.
3. Second Nature
Best for video avatar practice with courses and certification.
If your reps like Allego's avatar roleplay, Second Nature is the closest roleplay-first match. Its homepage lists moving and video avatar scenarios for discovery, objection handling and cold calls, plus multi-persona avatar meetings. Its product page describes courses that combine videos, decks and quizzes with AI practice, support for over 30 languages, and security standards including SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. The homepage says it connects to any LMS via SCORM or LTI.
No prices appear on the pages we reviewed; pricing goes through a demo.
Compared with Allego: Second Nature keeps courses next to practice, so it can replace Allego's practice and certification without replacing your LMS. See Second Nature alternatives for its tradeoffs.
4. PitchMonster
Best for several practice modes on shorter seat contracts.
PitchMonster's pricing page lists phone, avatar and screen-sharing roleplays, a roleplay editor with 40+ customizations, scorecards and certifications. It sells two quote-based plans priced per seat. The higher plan adds call analysis, AI Coach conversations, speech coaching, and Gong, LMS and webhook integrations. Its AI role-play page states 29 languages.
Compared with Allego: PitchMonster's standard contract is 12 months, with 3 and 6 month terms for teams that qualify. Allego's typical contract is 3 years. Seats can move between reps at no cost. Read our PitchMonster pricing guide for the plan details.
5. Outdoo
Best for multi-format practice next to an LMS you keep.
Outdoo's pricing page lists voice, chat, video and in-person AI modes, video avatars, multi-persona roleplays and gatekeeper simulation on its Free plan. Growth adds 40+ LMS integrations (SCORM, xAPI and LTI), 55+ call recording integrations, skill certifications and methodology rubrics. Its homepage says it scores real calls on the same rubric as practice.
Outdoo is not priced per seat. The pricing page says "You're not buying seats" and lists unlimited team members. The Free plan includes 60 minutes of credits; Growth and Enterprise are quoted, and implementation is scoped separately.
Compared with Allego: if you keep Allego or another system for learning, Outdoo's LMS integrations are the part to test.
6. Mindtickle
Best for teams that still want roleplay inside an enablement suite.
Mindtickle is a suite-for-suite alternative, not a practice-only one. Its AI Sales Role Play page lists personalized role plays, screen share role plays and feedback in 25+ languages, and Mindtickle describes itself as an all-in-one revenue enablement product. Pricing "depends on factors like company size and team structure," and there is no self-serve free version.
Compared with Allego: choose Mindtickle if you are replacing the whole suite and want a second suite quote. If practice is the only problem, a practice-only tool will be a smaller change. See Mindtickle alternatives.
7. Highspot
Best for teams that already run sales content and training in Highspot.
Highspot's AI Role Play page says role play is "embedded directly into the Highspot experience, alongside content, deals, plays, and training." Scenarios draw on the content and messaging already in your Highspot instance, and multi-persona sessions let reps practice with champions, skeptics, and economic and technical buyers "all in one session." The page gives no price and does not state supported languages.
Compared with Allego: Highspot only fits this list if your team already uses Highspot for content. It is not a practice-only purchase.
Where Allego fits better than Quotain
Allego is the stronger pick when:
- You want learning, content, coaching and roleplay in one contract. Quotain covers practice and call grading only.
- Video avatars matter to your reps. Allego's AI Role Play plan describes lifelike AI video avatars. Quotain uses still portraits.
- You need published language and scoring coverage at scale. Allego states 32 practice languages, 71 voices and accents, and scoring in 59 languages.
- SSO is required now. Allego includes SSO on every plan. Quotain does not offer SSO yet.
- You want a dedicated customer success manager and quarterly business reviews as part of the plan, which Allego's pricing page lists for every plan.
How to choose
- You keep Allego for learning and content: add a practice tool that reports cleanly next to it. Test Quotain, Hyperbound or Outdoo on one team.
- You are replacing Allego's practice at renewal: compare Second Nature (closest on avatars and courses) with Quotain (closest to real deals) and PitchMonster (most modes on seat contracts).
- You are replacing the whole suite: get Mindtickle and, if you already use it, Highspot quotes, and test practice quality separately from the rest of the suite.
Before any of these, find your Allego renewal and notice dates. With a 3 year typical term, the timing of the pilot matters as much as the result.
A two-week pilot scorecard
Use the same sanitized deal brief, the same three reps and the same scorecard in every finalist, including Allego if you are a current customer. Score each row 0 (fails), 1 (works with a workaround) or 2 (works).
Test | Pass condition | Evidence owner |
|---|---|---|
Buyer realism | Reps recognize the account, role, objections and stage | Three pilot reps |
Scenario setup | One person builds the scenario from your own material in a day or less | Program owner |
Score evidence | Every rating links to a line in the transcript | Enablement lead |
Rubric match | The tool scores against your existing rubric without rewriting it | Enablement lead |
Focused retry | A rep can repeat one weak moment without rerunning the call | Pilot rep |
Languages | A native-speaking reviewer approves practice in each required language | Regional manager |
Fit with what you keep | Results reach the LMS or reporting your team already uses | RevOps |
Security | SSO, SOC 2 report and DPA status match your review requirements | Security owner |
Cost | The quote covers seats, setup, services, support, term and renewal | Finance or RevOps |
If you plan to keep Allego for learning, add one row: the time a manager spends checking two tools each week.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best Allego alternatives for sales roleplay?
For teams whose main need is sales practice, the strongest Allego alternatives are Quotain for practice built from a specific account and call, Hyperbound for buying-committee and demo practice with real-call scoring, and Second Nature for video avatar practice with courses. PitchMonster and Outdoo fit teams that want several practice modes. Mindtickle and Highspot fit only if you want another enablement suite.
Who are Allego's main competitors?
As a full revenue enablement suite, Allego competes with Mindtickle and Highspot, among others. For AI roleplay alone, it also competes with practice-focused tools such as Quotain, Hyperbound, Second Nature, PitchMonster and Outdoo. Which group matters depends on whether you are replacing the whole suite or only the practice part.
What is Allego AI Role Play?
Allego AI Role Play is the practice product inside Allego's suite. Allego's pages, checked October 2026, call it AI Role Play & Coaching and describe unscripted simulations against lifelike AI video avatars, shared rubrics, manager scoring, certifications and readiness dashboards, with support for 32 languages and scoring in 59. Allego earlier used the label AI sales simulations.
How much does Allego cost?
Allego does not publish dollar prices. Its pricing page, checked October 2026, says it prices per user per month, billed annually up front, with price depending on seat count and contract length. The typical contract is 3 years paid annually, with 2 year and 1 year options. AI Role Play is listed as one of four plans.
Can we use a roleplay tool alongside Allego?
Yes, as long as results reach the systems your team already reviews. Many teams keep Allego for learning or content and run practice in a separate tool. Before you buy, test whether scores and completions can reach your LMS or reporting, and count the manager time spent across both tools.
Does Allego offer a buyout program?
Allego's pricing page describes a Buyout Program for teams under contract with another vendor, aimed at reducing the annual budget during a switch to Allego. It works in the direction of moving to Allego. If you are moving away from Allego, check your own contract terms and renewal dates.
Is Quotain a full Allego replacement?
No. Quotain covers AI sales practice, scoring, coaching and real-call grading. It does not replace Allego's learning content, content management or digital sales rooms. Quotain is an Allego alternative for teams whose main need is realistic practice tied to real deals.
