Seismic Learning Review: Features, Pricing and Alternatives for Sales Practice
On this page
TL;DR
- Seismic Learning is the training and coaching product Seismic built from Lessonly, which Seismic acquired in August 2021. Lessonly.com now redirects to Seismic's Learning & Coaching page.
- Seismic's page lists online training courses, AI-powered role-plays, video recordings, AI-driven skills assessments, coaching plans and in-the-moment AI feedback. Its Aura AI page adds scenario-based practice built from your deals, products and top-performer behaviors.
- Seismic publishes no price for Seismic Learning (checked October 2026). You get a quote through a demo.
- Seismic now also owns Highspot, which keeps its own training and AI Role Play products as Highspot by Seismic, so a Seismic buyer may be offered two learning products from one company.
- Seismic Learning fits best when training must live beside Seismic's content tools. If your gap is call practice against a buyer who knows your deal, test a focused practice tool beside it.
This review is for sales enablement leaders, sales managers and RevOps teams who are judging Seismic Learning for B2B sales training and practice. Google autocomplete suggests many searches for "Seismic Learning" come from employees of retail, restaurant and service companies looking for their company's training login. If that is you, use the sign-in link your employer sent or ask your manager or HR team. This post cannot help with logins.

How we checked
Quotain publishes this review, and Quotain sells AI sales roleplay software, so read our view of the practice gap with that in mind. On October 26, 2026 we read Seismic's Learning & Coaching page, Coaching & Development page, Aura AI page, demo page and Trust Center. We followed the lessonly.com redirect, read Highspot's merger page, AI Role Play page and pricing page, and checked news coverage of both deals. We did not have a Seismic account or a quote. Everything below comes from public pages, so confirm packaging and contract terms with Seismic directly.
What Seismic Learning is now
Seismic sells sales enablement software: content management, buyer engagement, meetings and AI agents. Learning is one part of that suite. Destination CRM reported on August 16, 2021 that Seismic had acquired Lessonly, "a training, coaching, and enablement solutions provider." Lessonly's training product became Seismic Learning.
Today the Lessonly brand is gone from Seismic's site. Visiting lessonly.com sends you to Seismic's Learning & Coaching page, which does not mention Lessonly. The page's menu label is "Learning & Coaching," its FAQ talks about "Seismic's learning & coaching capabilities," and its integration section uses the name Seismic Learning. All three names point to the same product. Google autocomplete still suggests "Seismic Learning formerly Lessonly," so many buyers know it by the old name.
What Seismic Learning includes
Seismic's Learning & Coaching page groups the product into four jobs.
Training. Admins can "create interactive online sales training courses." The FAQ adds microlearning, sales performance metrics and coaching playbooks, and says the product works on mobile so reps can reach training from any device. The FAQ also names onboarding as a core use.
Practice. The same section says reps can "simulate real-life scenarios with AI-powered role-plays." Seismic also lists video recordings so managers can check that reps are ready before customer meetings. Separately, the Aura AI page describes "scenario-based practice at scale," where reps practice customer conversations built from "your deals, products, and top-performer behaviors," with real-time feedback.
Coaching. Seismic describes AI-driven coaching programs for reps who are behind, and AI feedback that gives reps "targeted, in-the-moment guidance." The Coaching & Development page adds personalized coaching plans and rep and team performance views for managers.
Assessment. Seismic says managers can "quickly identify skill gaps with AI-driven assessments" and use them to speed up rep readiness.
The page also says you can connect your LMS, CRM, content authoring tools and collaboration software to Seismic Learning. For teams already on Seismic for content, the main draw is that training, coaching and approved sales material sit in the same account.
What the public pages leave out
Seismic's pages describe AI role-plays in one or two sentences each. Before a pilot, ask Seismic to show you:
- Whether role-plays are spoken voice calls, text chat or recorded video, and which mode your plan includes.
- How a scenario gets built: from a prompt, from uploaded content, or from your CRM and call recordings.
- Whether one session can include several buyers, such as a champion and a finance lead.
- How scoring works: who writes the rubric, whether a rep can see why each line scored as it did, and whether a manager can override a score.
- Which languages role-plays and feedback support. We found no language count on the Learning page.
- Whether Aura's scenario-based practice is part of Seismic Learning or a separate purchase. The Aura page does not say.
None of these gaps means the product falls short. They are the details a short marketing page leaves out, and they decide whether practice feels like a real call.
Seismic now sells two learning products
Seismic completed its merger with Highspot on August 18, 2026 (Business Wire release on Yahoo Finance), and Highspot now runs as Highspot by Seismic with its own training, coaching and AI Role Play. Highspot's merger page says "there are no migration plans for Highspot by Seismic customers." For a Seismic Learning buyer, ask your rep which of the two learning products they will propose and what the roadmap is for the one you do not pick. Our Highspot review covers the merger timeline and Highspot's practice features.
Seismic Learning pricing
Seismic does not publish a price for Seismic Learning or for its wider suite (checked October 2026). The demo page asks you to book a personalized demo, and we found no plan names or per-seat figures on Seismic's site. Highspot by Seismic does list three packages on its pricing page, but every package says "Contact sales" and the form asks for the size of your go-to-market team before you see anything.
When you request a quote, ask for the same scope from every vendor: seat count, which learning and practice features are included, any AI add-ons, content migration, admin training and renewal terms. We do not repeat third-party price estimates here, because none are confirmed by Seismic.
Where Seismic Learning fits better than Quotain
Seismic Learning is the stronger choice in several cases.
- You already use Seismic for content. Training, coaching and the sales content reps share with buyers stay in one account, and admins manage one vendor.
- You run a large course library. Seismic Learning is built for courses, microlearning, assessments and onboarding paths. Quotain is a practice and grading tool, and it does not replace a learning management system.
- You train more than sales reps. Seismic's FAQ talks about coaching "customer-facing teams," and Google autocomplete shows employees of retail and service companies searching for their Seismic Learning login. If one tool must serve sales and frontline staff, a learning suite covers more of that need.
- Security review is strict today. Seismic's Trust Center lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Quotain does not currently offer SOC 2 certification or SSO, as its Mindtickle comparison states.
Where a focused practice tool fits
The gap to test with any learning suite is the moment a rep has to talk to a buyer. A course can teach a pricing script. It cannot tell you whether the rep holds the price when a skeptical CFO pushes on it.
Quotain is built for that job. It builds each AI buyer from your playbook, past calls, CRM context and knowledge files, and reps run live voice calls at four difficulty levels (Quotain vs Mindtickle). Every session is graded against your rubric, including must-pass criteria. Reps can dispute a score, and a weak moment can become a focused drill. On team plans, Quotain can run multiparty calls with several buyer personas, screen-share demo practice, and grading of recorded or imported customer calls with the same scorecard. Practice runs in 30+ languages. Buyers appear as still portraits, not video avatars.
Some teams run both: Seismic Learning for courses and certification paths, and a practice tool for the calls that decide deals. Our guide to sales readiness vs sales enablement covers how to split that work.
Seismic Learning alternatives for sales practice
Tool | Best for | Practice on the vendor's page | Public price (checked October 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
Highspot by Seismic | Teams that want role play tied to plays and content | Multi-persona AI Role Play | No; quote by GTM team size |
Mindtickle | Certification waves at scale | AI Role Play in 25+ languages, AI grading | No; depends on company size and team structure |
Allego | Global programs that need many languages | AI Role Play, 32 practice languages | No |
Showpad | Field sales teams using Showpad content | Roleplay AI with weighted scoring | No; per-user quote |
Quotain | Deal-specific voice practice and real-call grading | Live voice calls with AI buyers built from your deals | Free practice call; team plans quoted |
Highspot by Seismic. Best for teams that want practice inside their plays. Highspot's AI Role Play builds scenarios by persona, product and objection, uses the content already in Highspot, supports several personas in one session, and ties feedback to your coaching frameworks. Its pricing page places training and role play in the "Train and practice" package. It is now part of Seismic, so treat it as a second option from the same vendor. See our Highspot review.
Mindtickle. Best for certification at scale. Mindtickle's AI Role Play page says AI builds a scenario from a few prompts, offers dozens of prebuilt buyer personas and voices, gives feedback in 25+ languages, and can "automatically grade and certify thousands of submissions." Pricing "depends on factors like company size and team structure." See our Quotain vs Mindtickle comparison.
Allego. Best for multilingual programs. Allego's AI Role Play and Coaching page lists unscripted simulations, support for 32 languages and 71 voices and accents, and scoring in 59 languages. See our Quotain vs Allego comparison.
Showpad. Best for field sales teams on Showpad. Showpad's Roleplay AI page describes AI buyer avatars that object and interrupt, difficulty from Basic to Expert, and up to 10 weighted feedback categories. Its pricing page lists Roleplay AI in the Advanced plan and says Showpad is licensed per user.
Quotain. Best for practice tied to a real deal. Covered above. For a wider list, see our guide to the best AI sales roleplay software.
How to choose: a two-week pilot scorecard
Run Seismic Learning and one practice tool against the same real sales moment, such as a pricing call next month. Use the same source packet for both: your playbook, two recorded calls, the account notes and your scorecard. Score each line 0 (fails), 1 (partly works) or 2 (works), and write down the evidence.
Test | How to run it | Score 0 to 2 |
|---|---|---|
Scenario setup | Time how long it takes to build the pricing call from your packet |
|
Buyer realism | Have two reps run it. Does the buyer raise the objections your buyers raise? |
|
Voice or text | Confirm the mode matches how your reps sell |
|
Pushback | At hard difficulty, does the buyer hold a position or give in on the first answer? |
|
Multiple buyers | Can one session include a champion and a finance lead? |
|
Scoring | Does each score point to a line in the transcript? Can a manager override it? |
|
Repeat attempts | Run it three times. Does the buyer vary, and does the score move with real changes? |
|
Manager time | Log minutes spent reviewing per rep per week |
|
Real-call link | Can you grade a real call with the same scorecard? |
|
Fit with your stack | Check CRM, call recorder and LMS connections you need |
|
Security | Collect SOC 2, SSO and data-use answers in writing |
|
Full cost | Get a written quote for the same seats and scope |
|
Decide at the end of week two: proceed, retest one item, or stop. Name an owner and a date for the decision. For scorecard design, see our sales call scorecard guide.
Frequently asked questions
Is Seismic Learning the same as Lessonly?
Yes. Seismic acquired Lessonly in August 2021, and Lessonly's training and coaching product is now sold as Seismic Learning, listed as "Learning & Coaching" in Seismic's menu. Lessonly.com now redirects to Seismic's Learning & Coaching page, and that page no longer uses the Lessonly name.
Does Seismic Learning have AI roleplay?
Seismic's Learning & Coaching page says reps can "simulate real-life scenarios with AI-powered role-plays" and lists video recordings for practice. Seismic's Aura AI page also describes scenario-based practice built from your deals and products. The pages do not say whether role-plays are voice or text, how scenarios are built or which languages are supported, so ask for a live demo of a role-play from your own content.
How much does Seismic Learning cost?
Seismic does not publish pricing for Seismic Learning, checked October 2026. Buyers get a quote after a personalized demo. Ask for the seat count, included learning and AI features, any add-ons, setup work and renewal terms in writing, and compare quotes with the same scope.
How do I log in to Seismic Learning?
Each company that uses Seismic Learning has its own sign-in link, so the right link depends on your employer. Use the link in your company's welcome email or intranet, or ask your manager or HR team. This review does not cover sign-in help.
Is Seismic Learning an LMS?
Seismic Learning covers many jobs people expect from a learning management system: online courses, microlearning, assessments and onboarding programs. Seismic's page also says it connects to your existing LMS, CRM and content authoring tools, so some teams run it beside a company-wide LMS for sales-specific training.
What are the best Seismic Learning alternatives for sales practice?
For sales practice, the common alternatives are Highspot by Seismic, Mindtickle, Allego, Showpad and focused AI roleplay tools such as Quotain. Suites fit teams that want training and content together. A focused tool fits teams whose main gap is live call practice against buyers built from their own deals. Test both types on the same real call before you buy.
Test the call your reps have next month
If your team already runs Seismic Learning for courses, the question is whether reps can handle the next real pricing or discovery call. Pick one of those calls, build it in Quotain from your playbook and recordings, and score it on your own rubric. See how buyers are built on the AI sales simulations page, read how practice feeds onboarding and certification, compare a suite option in Quotain vs Mindtickle, or book a demo to scope a two-week pilot. You can also run a free practice call first.
