Yoodli vs Second Nature: AI Sales Roleplay Compared (2026)

On this page

TL;DR

  • Yoodli fits teams that want one AI practice tool for sales and for other workplace conversations (manager coaching, interviews, presentations), plus a self-serve route for individuals. Its pricing page lists a free Starter plan and paid individual plans at $8 and $20 per month billed annually (checked October 2026).
  • Second Nature fits sales and support teams that want avatar-led roleplay, structured courses and a long list of published security certifications. It publishes no prices; team pricing goes through a demo (checked October 2026).
  • Both sell team plans through sales, both score against criteria you can edit, both support multi-persona practice, and both claim SOC 2 Type 2.
  • The real split is scope and format: Yoodli covers communication beyond sales and publishes individual prices; Second Nature leans into visual avatars, LMS delivery and certifications such as ISO 27001.
  • If your practice has to mirror a specific deal (the account, the call stage, the last call), add Quotain to the shortlist as a third option and run all three through the same two-week pilot.

How we compared

We read each vendor's own pages in October 2026 (last checked October 26): Yoodli's homepage, pricing page, sales roleplay page, roleplays and Create product pages, and help center overview; Second Nature's homepage, product page, enterprise page and FAQ. We did not use review-site scores or third-party price estimates.

Quotain publishes this post and sells a competing product. We describe Yoodli and Second Nature only from their own pages and include Quotain as a third option with its own limits stated. Features and packaging change often, so confirm anything that matters to your decision in a demo or in writing.

Positioning: what each company is building

Yoodli: best for one practice program across sales and other conversations

Yoodli's homepage sorts its use cases into sales readiness, learning and training companies. The sales list covers training, roleplay, coaching, onboarding and certification, partner enablement and customer support. The learning list covers manager coaching, difficult conversations, AI tool training, interviewer training and leadership. Its sales roleplay page says Sandler, Korn Ferry and FranklinCovey deliver their methodologies through Yoodli.

Yoodli also keeps an individual route. Anyone can start on the free Starter plan, and the Advanced plan can be reimbursed as a professional development benefit, per its pricing page.

Second Nature: best for avatar-led sales training with enterprise security paperwork

Second Nature's homepage describes AI role plays and coaching for go-to-market teams, with use cases for sales, customer support, call centers, HR and learning and development. Its sample role plays include moving avatar discovery, objection handling and cold calls, a video avatar discovery call, and multi-persona avatar meetings for B2B and B2C. It also lists Deal Coach, which it says gives reps AI coaching on live deals.

The enterprise page frames the product around scale: SSO and SCIM, LMS delivery via SCORM or LTI, CRM connections and a set of security certifications.

Where Quotain sits

Quotain is sales-only. It builds an AI buyer from your playbook, the account, the call stage and the recent conversation, per the Quotain vs Second Nature page, then grades practice and recorded real calls against your own scorecard. It is narrower than either vendor, which suits teams that want rehearsal for next Tuesday's pricing call more than a training catalog.

Practice modes

Yoodli's roleplays product page lists three formats: video, chat and avatars. It says learners can speak, share a screen and handle pushback in real time, and that practice can include whole buying committees. Its help center overview describes multi-persona practice with more than one stakeholder at once, plus an AI Tutor that teaches material and quizzes the learner before practice.

Second Nature's product page describes conversations with AI personas across 1:1, group and chat scenarios, running in a mobile browser on phone, tablet or desktop. Its FAQ adds webcam-based, AI-scored pitch recordings and product demos with screen sharing. One caution: the FAQ lists desktop, laptop and tablets as the supported devices, while the product page names phones too. If reps will practice on phones, test that in the pilot.

What to test: run one hard objection in an avatar format and in voice or chat, then ask three reps which felt closer to a real buyer.

Scoring and feedback

Yoodli's sales roleplay page says every rep gets immediate feedback on content and delivery against your rubric, and that custom scorecards and certification workflows turn practice into a readiness signal. It names Sandler, MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPIN or your own framework as options.

Second Nature's FAQ is more specific about mechanics. Scores arrive within 45 to 90 seconds. The default weighting is 70% knowledge and 30% style, where style covers pace, clarity, energy and filler words. Evaluation criteria are generated by AI and fully editable, pre-built frameworks include MEDDPICC, BANT and SPIN, and reps can request score reviews.

What to test: load one critical criterion (for example, "confirms budget owner before discussing price"), run one attempt that meets it and one that misses it, and check that the score moves for the right reason.

Customization and scenario building

Yoodli Create, per its product page, drafts a multi-module learning journey from a prompt or template and builds roleplays, tutoring and knowledge checks from your docs, calls and methodology. Yoodli says that when a source such as a pricing page or playbook changes, Create refreshes only the affected modules and shows the diff.

Second Nature's product page says you can describe a scenario in freeform text or upload content, and the AI builds the role play, including personas and evaluation topics. Its FAQ lists PDFs, PowerPoint, Word documents and audio recordings as inputs.

What to test: time how long your enablement lead needs to turn the same sanitized account brief into a usable scenario without vendor help.

Admin, analytics and certification

Yoodli's Business plan includes "Measure dashboards and exports" (pricing page). Its sales roleplay page says leaders get a dashboard of skill progression, certification status and readiness across the org, with exportable reports.

Second Nature's FAQ lists dashboards for team-wide progress, completion rates and proficiency heatmaps, comparisons across individuals and teams, and manual evaluations with passing thresholds for certification. The product page adds roles, permissions, usage tracking, sub-accounts and session assignment.

Both can run a certification program. If yours needs a manager to sign off before a rep passes, ask each vendor to show that step live. Our sales certification program guide has a structure you can hand to either vendor.

Languages

Yoodli's help center overview lists 28 languages, including regional versions of English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Its roleplays product page says "28+ languages".

Second Nature gives three numbers. Its product page says over 30 languages, its enterprise page says over 25, and its FAQ says more than 25 with extra languages possible by customer request. Ask for the current list in writing and test the two languages your reps use most, including accents.

Security claims

Yoodli's pricing page says it is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and GDPR compliant across all plans, and lists SSO and SCIM on Business. Data use depends on the plan: on the individual Starter and Pro plans, Yoodli says session data may be used to improve its product, while Advanced adds exclusion from AI training. Its sales roleplay page says team data is never used to train AI models and sessions are private by default.

Second Nature's enterprise page states SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certification, GDPR, CCPA and HIPAA compliance, SSO and SCIM through Okta, Azure AD and Ping Identity, and that it does not train language models on customer data. Its FAQ says data is stored in a Google Cloud data center in the Netherlands.

These are vendor statements. Ask each for the current SOC 2 report and, for Second Nature, the ISO certificates and their scope. If a rep will start on a free Yoodli plan, use a synthetic scenario until your team has a business agreement in place.

Pricing transparency

Yoodli is the more open of the two. Its pricing page (checked October 2026) lists Starter (free, 5 lifetime sessions), Pro ($8/month billed annually, up to 10 roleplays per week) and Advanced ($20/month billed annually, unlimited roleplays). Business is "per seat, billed annually" through a demo, and Enterprise targets organizations with 5,000+ people through sales. The page also says Yoodli does not refund on cancellation.

Second Nature publishes no prices on its homepage, product, enterprise or FAQ pages (checked October 2026), and secondnature.ai/pricing returned a 404. The demo form asks visitors to talk to sales about pricing and plans. For a deeper look at Yoodli's tiers, see our Yoodli pricing breakdown.

For teams, both vendors quote. Ask each for a written quote with the same seat count, term, setup, content help, integrations and renewal terms, so you compare like with like.

Where each fits better than Quotain

Yoodli fits better when the program covers more than sales (manager feedback conversations, interviews, presentations) or when individuals need to start alone today with a published price. Quotain is sales-only, and beyond a free trial of up to 3 practice calls it sells team plans by quote.

Second Nature fits better when visual avatars are part of the training design, when your security review requires SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO certificates on day one, or when the program must ship inside an LMS through SCORM or LTI. Quotain practice uses still buyer portraits, not video avatars, and Quotain has no SOC 2 report or SSO yet: its trust center says it is preparing for a SOC 2 Type II audit.

Choose Yoodli if, choose Second Nature if, consider Quotain if

Choose Yoodli if:

  • One tool must cover sales and non-sales conversations such as coaching, interviews or presentations.
  • Some reps or managers need to start on their own with a published price.
  • Your methodology partner already delivers through Yoodli, or you want an AI Tutor step before practice.

Choose Second Nature if:

  • Avatar-led practice is central to how you want reps to train.
  • Security review requires SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA statements.
  • Training must run through an LMS via SCORM or LTI, with courses that mix video, decks and quizzes.

Consider Quotain if:

  • Reps need to rehearse a specific upcoming call, with the buyer built from the account, the stage and the last conversation.
  • You want recorded real calls graded on the same scorecard as practice, then the weak line turned into the next practice through real-call grading.
  • Buyers need to hold a negotiating position or speak one of 32 languages at four difficulty levels, with buying-committee calls available on request, as listed on Quotain pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Is Yoodli or Second Nature better for sales teams?

It depends on scope and format. Yoodli suits teams that want sales roleplay alongside other workplace conversations and a self-serve entry point, with team plans priced per seat through a demo. Second Nature suits teams that want avatar-led sales practice, LMS delivery and a long list of published security certifications. Run the same scenario and scorecard through both before deciding.

Is Yoodli free?

Yoodli has a free Starter plan with 5 lifetime sessions, according to its pricing page checked in October 2026. Paid individual plans are Pro at $8 per month and Advanced at $20 per month, both billed annually. Business and Enterprise plans are priced per seat through sales. On Starter and Pro, Yoodli says session data may be used to improve its product.

How much does Second Nature cost?

Second Nature does not publish prices. As of October 2026, its homepage, product, enterprise and FAQ pages show no plan prices, and visitors are sent to a demo form to discuss pricing and plans. It offers free sample role plays on desktop. Ask for a written quote covering seats, term, setup, integrations and renewal.

Do Yoodli and Second Nature use avatars?

Both do. Yoodli's roleplays page lists video, chat and avatars as formats. Second Nature's homepage shows moving avatar and video avatar sample role plays, plus multi-persona avatar meetings. Test whether avatars change rep behavior for your scenarios, since some teams get the same value from voice-only practice.

Which supports more languages, Yoodli or Second Nature?

Second Nature's product page claims over 30 languages, though its enterprise page and FAQ say more than 25. Yoodli's help center lists 28 languages, including regional versions of English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Ask both for the current list and test the languages your reps use with a native speaker.

Do Yoodli or Second Nature train AI on customer data?

Second Nature's enterprise page says it does not train language models on customer data. Yoodli's sales roleplay page says team data is never used to train AI models, but its pricing page says session data on the individual Starter and Pro plans may be used to improve the product. Confirm the terms for your plan in the contract.

Is Quotain an alternative to Yoodli and Second Nature?

Yes, for sales teams. Quotain builds AI buyers from your playbook, account, call stage and recent conversations, and grades practice and recorded calls against your scorecard. It is sales-only, uses still buyer portraits, not video avatars, and does not have SOC 2 or SSO yet, so teams that need those today may prefer Yoodli or Second Nature.

Pick the format before the vendor

Decide whether your reps need avatars, a communication program beyond sales, or practice tied to the next real call. Then run the pilot above with the same brief in every tool. For the head-to-head detail, see Quotain vs Yoodli and Quotain vs Second Nature. If the third column matters, see how AI sales simulations build a buyer from your context, try a free practice call, or book a demo to scope a pilot around one team and one sales motion.

Make your sales strategy show up in every deal.
